Reminds me of hates at Wisconsin. Dells
My fiancé and I were super excited about riding because this was our first time at Dollywood. We’re both roller coaster junkies and we hated this ride. If I could give it no stars, I would. It accelerated up the first incline quickly, which was exciting but after that it all LITERALLY went down hill from there. The bars across my legs were hurting as we were going over the hills. Way too harsh. Way too jerky. As soon as the ride ended, I heard multiple comments from the other riders about how they didn’t like the ride. When we finally got off, I felt sick and light headed. My head started pounding and I actually had to go and throw up and it pretty much ruined the rest of my trip. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Very fast and intense all the way till the end. I would not recommend riding this as the first coaster you've ever been on though as it's very fast and intense. I did notice the front few rows are very smooth, but toward the middle and back rows there is a rough spot during the big drop, which is fixed now. Overall very good coaster and half the time your out of your seat which did bruise up my upper legs a little after the 5th ride in 2 days but I was not holding onto the lap bar. Maybe holding on may prevent this otherwise all the strain is against your upper legs and the lap bar holding you in.
Best Wooden Coaster I've ever ridden. I'm from Ohio and have the 2 largest roller coaster Theme parks around. This ride I was actually scared when riding. 5 Stars!
Overall I loved this roller-coaster, however, I cant believe I am saying this, it was too much airtime. You spend the whole ride off you're seat or smashed into it. It is the fastest most intense roller coaster I have ever rode, even more so then cedar point. I just wish it was slightly less intense on certain parts of the track. If you are a adrenaline junkie then this ride is right up you're alley. It will scare the pants off you. Speed speed SPEED!
Also they seem to only run one train at a time, not sure if they are having mechanical problems with 2 trains running. During the winter time, be warned, the ride only operates when it's at least 45 to 50 degrees outside. All the other roller coasters operate in lower temps, but not lightning rod.
I've ridden over 250 coasters in the last 40 years and this by far was one of my favorite woody,s. It is jerky . Ride it at night!!
