I used to absolutely hate this coaster because of its roughness and shakiness BEFORE I tried it in the front row. This coaster is easily a thousand times better in the front row! Riding in the front made me completely rethink my opinion of this coaster. Third best in the park IMO, behind Lightning Rod and Mystery Mine. Front row is a MUST DO.

The ride is rough but that is part of the charm of wooden coasters. This is the best wooden coaster I've ridden besides the Scream Machine at Six Flags.

Thunderhead is a great ride! I stood in line for it for a long time seven years ago, but the wait was well worth it! Highly recommend riding this if you come to Dollywood!
