Smokies Cuban Cafe is our absolute most favorite restaurant to go to for real authentic Cuban food! Seriously, if an inviting atmosphere, caring servers, and of course, awesome food, is what you want, then definitely this is the place! Our server is always Christine and she is amazing. We take friends there, and they always end up going back!
First time here. Ordered the most popular pork entree and my wife got the chicken entree. We both really liked. Our food. The waitress took was kind enough to answer all our questions about Cuban food. Service was quick. The atmosphere does leave something to he desired. The music is a small speaker in the back which unfortunately we sat near. It was blaring some hip hop music. The tables are kind of miss matched. It works but barely. I think they are embracing the casual Cafe and not trying to be a restaurant. The food was great and so was the coffee. They had already sold out of desserts by 2pm. Prices were very reasonable. About $12 for a full entree and around $9 for most sandwiches. I think it's a great lunch spot for visitors in the pigeon Forge area.
Stopped for a late lunch. Had several sandwiches and entrees to loose from. I chose the roast pork. It was a large sandwich served on thin crisp bread with grilled onions. I also had the side of yucca with garlic. Not much garlic flavor but enjoyed trying starchy potato like yucca. It was a nice change from most of the usual choices of restaurants. I want to come back and try some other choices. They also serve breakfast and interesting sounding desserts.
Best service we found in town. They even suggested places to visit and gave proper directions. The food was delicious.
Great food, & service.. Would have rated it 5 stars but I'm very picky with my Spanish food. When I got my potato ball, it was Very Dry, & didn't have great flavor. Other than that, I loved everything else I ate & so did my family.
