Tranquility Cabin
My husband & I have been frequenting the Smokies for the past nearly 15 years & always stay in a cabin! Our experience here with Affordable Cabins in the Smokies has been our absolute favorite! We are already planning our next trip back & we just left this morning! It was so peaceful, tranquil & quaint! Our cabin was very clean & the owners were extremely hospitable!
We may never know if the hot tub actually works at cuddlers view (even though a very recent review says it was indefinitely out of order) because yes, I did make sure to let him know no one is to go in alone with my very loved already nervous small dog. Id go without a hot tub then have someone accidentally letting her out. I also should say that it's a sad situation we had to think to take pictures of the cabin before leaving in case of being scammed.
So many awful serious complaints I will not take the time to write considering the owner sadly obviously will not take to heart. One reason, because my name is not on our reservation. ( although my last name is the same, all it takes is alittle common sense.) I wanted to apoligive when my husband called to complain because I trust management and/or workers that they are doing everything and anything in their power to care for their company. I then read others awful reviews and ended up having to apologize to my husband for not only the way he was treated by the owner when he called, but also getting alittle hateful about him being upset and calling during our vacation.
1. Does the owner not realize every response is posted publicly? You humiliate not only the complainer, but also yourself. Owning a company of any kind is no dout hard work but also brings many blessings to be fortunate about. Enough to try and protect yourself, and the company's image.
This cabin would EASILY be a 5 star cabin. We make several trips to the mountains a year. We are returning guests of Affordable Cabins and were pleased with our last visit. However, this time it rained! When we went to turn in the last night (at 1am) we were surprised to find that the bed (spread, sheets and mattress) were wet because the roof had leaked. We had already over looked the small water roaches that were numerous in the kitchen area because of a small leak under the sink. Nor, the fact that there is no WIFI or cell service at the cabin. There is a land line telephone. I did talk to them about the our complaints and was given an apology and assured that the issues with the leak and roaches would be taken care of. I would have liked to have seen a small discount or offer of a possible future discount because of the wet bed from the roof especially for a return customer. However, customer service isn't very accommodating. This cabin is very well located and private. It is pretty and we loved the little arcade game in the living room. The kitchen is well stocked although we didn't want to eat in the kitchen because of the bug problem. The beds are comfortable and the decorations are cute.
Pros: Close to attratctions, awesome views.
This place has not had a proper cleaning in a long while. The toilet was filthy, dishes were not clean, dust everywhere. We weren't expecting the Taj Mahal but Jesus at least clean the place up. I doubt we rent here again.
The owners are as friendly as they come and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for allowing us to stay for the weekend in your beautiful cabin. Will defiantly be staying again.
I do have two questions, one with maybe a obvious answer the other alittle weird.
2. How long has that hair clip been hanging on the back porch. You told my husband it was drained and cared for yet the hair clip I noticed 3 seconds after walking out was still there. Odd, I know but, with the many comments ive read about cleanliness along with my daughter finding scissors on the floor it seriously made me question the rest of the unkept cabin.
