This place was incredible! We had a blast solving puzzles and our tour guide was very nice and friendly. This was one of our favorite things to do on our trip to the Smokey’s! This was our first experience with an escape room and it was totally worth it.
I have done quite a few escape rooms, this one is NOT for small kids! The staff told us this escape room was for 4 year and up. Personally, I do not recommend it until at least 9. Do NOT take your kids until they are totally comfortable in an enclosed room, in total darkness with scary voices and sound effects. I wish someone had warned us about this up front.
So too scary for most small kids, too easy for adults
My family and I visited the Tomb when we saw a Groupon for it. It is not exactly an escape room as they are probably going to let you solve all the puzzles even if you are out of time to get out. The props were pretty neat and our guide was very nice. Probably would not recommend spending your money on this experience.
Our grandchildren really enjoyed this. Just didn't take as long as expected. The guide pretty much gave us the answers.
For adults, this attraction is fun although I found the guide providing most of the answers and giving way to many hints, probably to get us out of there in time. Not as much fun as I felt that if we did not know the answers right away, he gave them for us.
You are in a tomb, the "heavy stone" door closes, the room is pitch black and then you hear a rumbling voice threatening that you will not get out of here alive if you do not know the answers (you see a statue light up that does the talking). Both kids were terrified. Second and third room, also dimly lit/dark with that voice still trying to scare the participants (as an adult this is not scary, but as a kid it is VERY scary). The last room even shows a tomb and a "body". My kids are 6.5 and 8 and the youngest one still has an occasional nightmare about the tomb and the body, 3 weeks later.
Not impressed but still had a little fun. My first escape game and I wouldn't consider it an escape game. Meant for families and children. More like a guided tour with puzzles and bad props. The guide helped us far too much without us asking for the help. Most of the time is spent listening to some cheesy story. We had a group of 9 and the puzzles were too small and basic so most people just stood around. I can't wait to try a legitimate escape game!
